Abstract

Pengenalan kepada penggunaan Virtual Reality (VR) di dalam kelas menjadi salah satu pendekatan eksploratif kepada pelajar khususnya bidang teknologi seni bina untuk mendepani cabaran Revolusi Industri 4.0 bagi melahirkan graduan yang berkemahiran dan berpengetahuan tinggi serta bertanggungjawab. Virtual Reality (VR) menyediakan persekitaran inklusif bersesuaian dengan bidang seni bina yang memerlukan daya imaginasi tinggi untuk merekabentuk sesebuah bangunan. Ia boleh dihuni secara aktif dengan memakai paparan audio visual yang mempunyai peranti sentuhan antara muka serta tetapan kedudukan dan sensor orientasi boleh laras. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji penggunaan Virtual Reality (VR) terhadap pemahaman pelajar mengenai teknologi pembinaan bangunan. Oleh itu, seramai 10 orang responden yang terdiri daripada pelajar Program Teknologi Seni bina telah dipilih bagi kajian rintis ini dimana persekitaran fasa pembinaan bangunan bersaiz sederhana serta elemen-elemen seni bina dipaparkan melalui video 360° dengan mengaplikasikan teknologi Virtual Reality (VR). Objektif kajian pula adalah untuk menilai kebolehgunaan Virtual Reality (VR) dalam pendidikan dan menganalisis maklum balas pengalaman pembelajaran eksploratif pelajar. Kaedah kuantitatif digunakan sebagai metodologi kajian melalui tinjauan soal selidik secara atas talian ke atas responden. Hasil kajian mendapati bahawa tahap penglibatan pelajar secara langsung dapat dicapai melalui penerapan teknologi Virtual Reality (VR) yang digunakan secara kolaboratif di dalam kelas seterusnya menunjukkan peningkatan dalam hasil akademik mereka.
