Abstract

This study was conducted to examine the Innovation of Basic Mathematical Operations Kit (I-KOAM) as a teaching aid (BBM) in improving the mastery of basic mathematical operations concepts for students with special educational needs (MBPK) with Year Six Learning Disabilities at SK Tun Abdul Razak, Kuala Kubu Bharu, Selangor. In addition, the change in MBPK behavior from introvert to positive behavior was also studied. The study sampling involved 4 MBPK and 2 teachers. The research instruments used are pre-test, post-test and Questionnaire Form. The data obtained were analyzed using the paired t-test and the mean score. A comparison of the analysis before and after the use of I.-KOAM found that there was an improvement in the mastery of basic Mathematical operations and MBPK behavior. I-KOAM was found to be effective in improving Mathematics proficiency and changing MBPK's introverted behavior. The achievement and sharing of this innovation are very proud at the state, national and international levels. It is hoped that the use of I-KOAM can help teachers improve their approach to teaching mathematics in the future.
