Theme: Forging AI Horizons in Higher Education

The Asian Journal of Vocational Education and Humanities (AJVAH) invites manuscript
submissions for a Special Issue in conjunction with the Global Higher Education
Forum (GHEF) 2025, themed “Forging AI Horizons in Higher Education.” This Special
Issue aims to provide a scholarly platform for examining the transformative role of
artificial intelligence (AI) in reshaping higher education, vocational training, and the
broader learning ecosystem.

As higher education institutions navigate the integration of AI technologies into teaching,
learning, and administration, new opportunities and challenges emerge for skill
development, employability, and ethical governance. This special issue particularly
welcomes articles that explore how AI impacts vocational education, technical and
professional training, human development, and the humanities, with attention to
inclusivity, sustainability, and future workforce readiness.

AJVAH welcomes both theoretical and empirical contributions that engage with
conceptual innovations, policy analyses, and evidence-based practices. Submissions
may include:

• Empirical research (qualitative, quantitative, or mixed methods)
• Conceptual and theoretical analyses
• Systematic or integrative literature reviews
• Case studies and short communications

Important Dates
• Abstract submission deadline: 30 September 2025
• Notification of acceptance: 15 October 2025
• Full paper submission deadline: 1 February 2026
• Planned publication: September–October 2026

Submission and Review Process
Manuscripts must follow the AJVAH Author Guidelines and Template and will undergo
double-blind peer review managed by the Guest Editor team from the National Higher
Education Research Institute (IPPTN), Universiti Sains Malaysia. Final copyediting
and DOI publication will be undertaken by AJVAH.

Publication Fee
A nominal publication fee of RM200 per accepted paper is applicable and payable after
publication.
